NOW . . . beanfield2

. . . AND THEN . . .

There are different ways of reading history , and I’d like to suggest a different one from the North Korean -type torrent of fawning and obsequiousness that we’ve had from the servile fourth estate in recent days.
After the defeat of 1945, the Tory Establishment found themselves in a country which was increasingly heading in an egalitarian direction.
The old divide was still there, but by the early 1960’s the rise of Harold Wilson and a parallel appreciation of working-class culture as the engine of change left the old aristocracy and their corporate interests floundering.
They still had the intelligence services and freemasonry, of course, and the War in Ireland kept both these venerable institutions in business.
They realised the ‘lessons’ from the first miners’ strike (during Heath’s Government) that they were close to losing control of a country which was still effectively owned by the top 10% of society, largely unchanged since 1689, if not 1067.
The indefatigable Harold Wilson ‘resigned’ after constant harassment from MI5/6, slipped away and died after a botched operation; followed by Callaghan’s Government of Social Democrats which subjected the working class to the first wave of monetarism – courtesy of the US-led IMF – which of course, led to the infamous ‘Winter of Discontent’.
The way of strife and confrontation had already been chosen by the right-wing of the Establishment, and 5/6 stepped up and did their part.
Anyone who knows their history will recognise the usual slide from active democracy to police state under Thatcher’s watch; the destruction of the miners through black propaganda (Scargill’s Libyan/ Russian Gold); the shoot-to-kill of the IRA members in Gibraltar and the ‘involvement’ of British intelligence in various assassinations in the 6 Counties; the use of police as Government forces opposing unarmed demonstrators; the collusion with the occupying forces of the USA in turning the UK into a WWIII launchpad / nuclear target . . .
The way was prepared after Callaghan’s disastrous administration for a ‘conviction politician’ of the right to assume power, with the full support of the Tory-owned press and the ‘guidance’ of her campaign manager, Airey Neave, an old hand of the British spy world since WWII.
In the 11 years of her disastrous regime, the two intelligence services went from dusty offices in Whitehall – where they had managed to operate during the whole of the Cold War – to two gigantic palaces on the Thames, and their ‘invisible’ budgets expanded in the same way.
Since then we have lived in a country where political ‘coincidence’ seems to happen almost naturally; the death of John Smith to be succeeded by the public-school lawyer Blair, who had been brought into the Labour Party to ‘rid it of Militant’ (or militants, aka party activists with any left-wing principles); the death of Robin Cook, David Kelly; the 1994 Chinook helicopter crash . . . etc. etc.
The most important fact to remember about Thatcher – when anyone mentions ‘democratic mandate’ – is that she was levered into power at exactly the moment that the immense wealth from North Sea Oil and gas came online.
What wasn’t used in the economic transformation, designed to break the back of organised labour (by replacing employment with dole and servant-jobs without a living wage), was siphoned off by the same old faces, whose children are now running both Government and the media ( the refuge for attention-seeking inheritance airheads, who these days dominate everything from pseudo-‘popular’ music to TV and the stage).
I recommend a read of an excellent article (Nobody told us we could do this (PDF) by Simon Matthews) which sets out the economic truths behind the world which Thatcher’s regime conceived; a world of the dispossessed masses and the new kleptocracy, almost the same as the old kleptocracy.

Her regime destroyed communities -both traditional, like the miners; and ‘alternative’, like the Travellers at the Battle of the Beanfield 27 long years ago. People have had to live, not just with the memories, but the suffering which resulted from her antisocial policies and the continuation of the monetarist nightmare that she heralded in ever since then; and that is why the majority of people in this country – outside of the City of London and those palaces on the Thames – are glad to see her finally slip away to the Last Judgement like everyone else – from which no amount of taxpayer-funded militarised pomp and flummery can save her wretched soul…

NATO strike a civilian area, Majer, Libya

A report [by Mark  Urban] on tonight’s Newsnight [BBC2] [18th Jan 2012] has revealed that – contrary to the statements that the British Government ministers made to Parliament, the press and the people – British forces were aiding and abetting the 2011 uprising in Libya with Special Forces and armaments.

The arguments about how far the UK should go were thrashed out in a series of meetings of the National Security Council at Downing Street. Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister David Cameron, its key members were:

  • Chief of the Defence Staff General Sir David Richards
  • Defence Secretary Liam Fox
  • Foreign Secretary William Hague

Mr Cameron’s chief of staff, Ed Llewellyn, was a key voice in urging action following start of the Libyan revolution last February, say Whitehall insiders . . . key figures in the Downing Street discussions were convinced that air strikes alone would not achieve the result they wanted. At sessions of the National Security Council, Gen Richards and Mr Fox made the case for planning to provide training and equipment for the revolutionary forces of the NTC.

This is in clear breach of any international law – the interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state which has not been sanctioned by the UN or any other international body.

It is no surprise that at the centre of the plot to deceive Parliament were the now-disgraced Liam Fox, and William Hague – the man who, according to Wikileaks transcripts of US Embassy documents, promised before the last election to increase Britain’s expenditure on US weaponry if the Tories got back into power.

The report raises serious questions about what is being currently done in Syria – which as various commentators have been pointing out – is currently being destabilised in a similar way to Libya.

The British coalition Government, along with other NATO/ US stooges such as Sarkozy, paraded themselves alongside the shadowy replacements for Gadaffi, trumpeting slogans of victory for democracy soon after his murder.

However, the truth of what is happening in Libya, now that the ravenous media of the West have moved on to Syria, following their masters’ whistle and spouting the same mix of rumour and infotainment from ‘intelligence sources’ – is much murkier.

An article by Franklin Lamb in Counterpunch reveals that since the West {US/UK Axis] moved on to Syria, the Libyan ‘revolution’ has become increasingly fragile;

There is clear and growing pro-Gadhafi political and military activity here and it is why NTC leader Mustapha Abdul Jalil, the other day warned against the Gadhafi children raising an insurrection.  Aisha Gadhafi, given Saif’s current incarceration, is perhaps the likely leader.

Every night more pro-Gadhafi graffiti appears on street walls, buildings and around Green (Martyrs Square).  Activists, and there appear to be more every day, assert that so far the NTC has not attacked them and they feel fairly free to speak  out and even organize.  It is anyone’s guess how long this situation will exist before a violent crackdown and open fighting.

It is difficult to gage the anti-NTC/ pro-Gadhafi mix and the extent to what extent each is propelling increasingly unpredictable events in Libya.

There is also a growing awareness of the cost of NATO’s bombing campaign, unreported in the Western mediatainment;

NATO has already lost much of its claimed public relations boost following its Halloween night ending of the bombing.  One suspects that this is because of an accumulation of many more recently discovered cases of NATO bombing of civilians in Libya. The population today in Libya is increasingly furious because more and more cases are coming to light concerning the high numbers of children who have been killed by NATO.

In addition to the fury caused by the urinating GIs, NATO officials are being ridiculed for all their denials that their bombing missions here in Libya, numbering more than 11,000, caused civilians deaths and their claims that NATO forces conducted themselves according to  higher moral and military standards, and sometimes put themselves at risk to avoid civilian casualties. The claims remind some of a generation of similar ludicrous public relations campaign undertaken regularly by the Israeli government.

As a previous post demonstrated, the plan to overturn legitimate [if repressive or unstable] regimes in a number of countries over a five-year period was first formulated by the cabal inside the Bush regime headed by Cheney and his fellow travellers.

Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and eventually Iranthese were the countries on the list handed to General Wesley Clarke from ‘upstairs’ within days of the 9/11 Massacre – an event which was used by the Washington regime to justify both internal repression inside the USA itself, and a war without end across the globe.

You have been warned . . . !

Gen. Wesley Clarke, NATO, 2007 reveals US strategy of destabilisation

We can’t say that we weren’t all warned – the cornered beast will take down everything else when it goes . . . .

And for a great analysis of the West’s secret war on the Syrian state, read this . . .

What we are seeing in Syria is a deliberate and calculated campaign to bring down the Assad government so as to replace it with a regime “more compatible” with US interests in the region.

The blueprint for this project is essentially a report produced by the neo-conservative Brookings Institute for regime change in Iran in 2009. The report – “Which Path to Persia?”  – continues to be the generic strategic approach for US-led regime change in the region.

A rereading of it, together with the more recent “Towards a Post-Assad Syria” (which adopts the same language and perspective, but focuses on Syria, and was recently produced by two US neo-conservative think-tanks) illustrates how developments in Syria have been shaped according to the step-by-step approach detailed in the “Paths to Persia” report with the same key objective: regime change.

The authors of these reports include, among others, John Hannah and Martin Indyk, both former senior neo-conservative officials from the George W Bush/Dick Cheney administration, and both advocates for regime change in Syria. Not for the first time are we seeing a close alliance between US/British neo-cons with Islamists (including, reports show, some with links to al-Qaeda) working together to bring about regime change in an “enemy” state.

After the trashing of Iraq and the dismemberment of Libya, we can look forward to the destruction of Syria followed by an all-out war with Iran.

One suspects that the Russians are not standing idly by – they and their vast natural resources under the melting permafrost of Siberia are what the boys at World.com [USA] have their sights trained on – and once it starts moving, just watch Taiwan, home of 90% of the worlds hard-disk manafacture.

2012, here we come . . .

Si Si Si ! – and a big NO to Berlusconi, nuclear power and water privatisation

Crowds celebrate referendum victory in Italy

As the disaster at Fukishima continues, the fallout has been as heavy in terms of the public perceptions of nuclear safety as it has on the poor people of the Eastern seaboard of Japan. Although its disappearance from the main-source news systems means that people could assume the central problems at the plant are under control; there has been a lot of disturbing news which is hidden in NGO reports which is now surfacing in whistleblowing blogs and online journals.

It is partly for this reason that the groundswell of anti-nuclear opinion has forced the once -impregnable Ms Merkel into a moratorium on any further development in Germany; and the Italians have now voted decisively to reject nuclear power, along with the privatisation of the water supply, and a change in the law which would have allowed Government ministers to avoid justice.

A report from the Guardian describes the effect of these results  and how they will affect the ultimate fate of Berlusconi’s everlasting regime . . .

The result represented an overwhelming setback for the prime minister, who had tried to thwart the outcome by discouraging Italians from taking part. The referendum needed a turnout of at least 50% to be binding. Interior ministry figures projections indicated that more than 57% of the electorate had taken part. Greenpeace called it a historic result. Quorums were also reached in three other referendums held simultaneously – the first time in 16 years that a quorum had been achieved in any referendum in Italy.

Official projections showed more than 95% of voters rejecting water privatisation and a law allowing Berlusconi and other ministers to cite government business as a reason for delaying trials in which they were defendants. The expected majority against nuclear power was 94% . . . . (Berlusconi) first ran into serious trouble on 30 May when his candidate for mayor of Milan lost in a local election runoff. Milan is Berlusconi’s home city and traditionally a weather-vane accurately pointing to Italy’s future political direction.

Italy Referendum flyer

The report continues;

Italy abandoned its nuclear programme following a similar referendum in 1987. The government of the day opted to phase out all the country’s existing plants. The last one shut down in 1990. Berlusconi had planned to generate a quarter of Italy’s electricity with French-built nuclear plants. Construction of the first was due to start between 2013 and 2015.

Vittorio Cogliati Dezza, president of the environmental organisation Legambiente, said: “The era of nuclear [energy] is coming to an end today. Definitively. A new season of development for the country is beginning.”

Let’s hope that democracy prevails, and the ever-wily Berlusconi – a corporate frontman since his early days in the P2 Lodge – doesn’t help facillitate the sort of crisis which allows these results to be reversed . . .

From the article in Wikipedia

P2 was sometimes referred to as a “state within a state”[2] or a “shadow government“.[3] The lodge had among its members prominent journalists, members of parliament, industrialists, and military leaders—including Silvio Berlusconi, who later became Prime Minister of Italy; the Savoy pretender to the Italian throne Victor Emmanuel; and the heads of all three Italian intelligence services . . . . When searching Licio Gelli’s villa, the police found a document called the “Plan for Democratic Rebirth”, which called for a consolidation of the media, suppression of trade unions, and the rewriting of the Italian Constitution.

George Osborne arriving at Bilderberg 2011 in St Moritz, Switzerland

This is a list of attendees gathering for cakes, tea and a couple of games of bridge in Switzerland this week.

Our ‘democratically accountable‘ British Chancellor, George Osborne,  has already had his visit confirmed by the Treasury, as reported in The Guardian; and it will surprise no-one that Peter Mandelson will be cosying up to the usual assortment of movers, shakers and other fugitives from international justice.

Bilderberg – Kissinger’s death cult

Friday, June 10th, 2011

Suvretta House-Bilderberg Conference Centre 2011

In the next week St Moritz in Switzerland will be playing host to the latest Bilderberg Meeting – a collection of characters that SPECTRE would be proud of – finance ministers, media moguls, and representatives of the corporate elite who own virtually all of the world’s mass production in areas like mining, agriculture and energy. Bilderberg is the name of a hotel in Oosterbeek, Holland, where the group first gathered in 1954 to strengthen relations between Western Europe and the United States.

Of course, according to ‘rationalists’ like David Aaronovitch, it would be tantamount to tinfoil-hat conspiracy-mongering to suggest that these people are doing anything other than sharing a few rounds of golf and talking about the weather; but even the most naive ‘rationalist’ would raise an eyebrow at the presence of the ubiquitous war criminal, Henry Kissinger at the gathering.

This is the man who produced a National Security Council study in 1974 looking at the ‘problems’ for future US policy which might be caused by ‘overpopulation’.  (You can read the full text here )

I think the main item on the agenda will be the possibilities available to these mainly unelected, totally unaccountable figures to eradicate a sizeable proportion of the world’s population, especially in those countries deemed ‘unproductive’ or ‘unco-operative’ or whose mineral resources are desirable.
That’s why the criminal Kissinger is there at the helm of the BB pack (and does anyone really know who this guy is, or where he comes from ?);

    Something they might talk about on the golf course, or over tea and cakes;

    National Security Memo 200, dated April 24, 1974, and titled “Implications of world wide population growth for U.S. security & overseas interests” says:

    “Dr. Henry Kissinger proposed in his memorandum to the NSC that “depopulation should be the highest priority of U.S. foreign policy towards the Third World.” He quoted reasons of national security, and because `(t)he U.S. economy will require large and increasing amounts of minerals from abroad, especially from less-developed countries … Wherever a lessening of population can increase the prospects for such stability, population policy becomes relevant to resources, supplies and to the economic interests of U.S.

    Look at the Congo, Sri Lanka, or anywhere the good ol’ USA and it’s hangers-on want to ‘stake an interest’ – all seems to be going completely to plan.

    The ‘conference’ is pretty much ignored by the mainstream media – in the UK they have much more important issues to debate like footballers’ infidelities and celebrity burn-outs; the only mainstream paper to even pick up on the story is The Guardian, whose Charlie Skelton has been at it for three years now.

    Apparently, a Swiss MP has called for the arrest of several war criminals who are believed to be attending the conference;

    According to a letter on the Bilderberg conference addressed to Simonetta Sommaruga, a National Council member and head of the Jura Police Department, Jura representative Dominique Baettig is calling for the arrest of conference participants who are internationally wanted for war crimes (George W. Bush, Henry Kissinger, Dick Cheney, and Richard Perle). Based on the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, such action is called for when a country makes a referral or response to an initiative by the U.N. Security Council, or by its own prosecuting authority.

Outlawing civil dissent under Obama & the Patriot Act

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

A couple of reminders about the truth behind the empty rhetoric of Obama on his grandstanding trip to Eire and Britain.

Firstly, an article from the magazine Counterpunch, which provides an overview of the (at least ) 2,600  arrests of activists protesting in the US since Obama’s inauguration.

These arrests have been for a whole spectrum of causes, including;

. . . . people protesting US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Guantanamo, strip mining, home foreclosures, nuclear weapons, immigration policies, police brutality, mistreatment of hotel workers, budget cutbacks, Blackwater, the mistreatment of Bradley Manning, and right wing efforts to cut back collective bargaining.

Examples include;

February 15, 2011.  A former CIA agent turned whistleblower was arrested and battered by police for standing silently and turning his back during a speech on the need for human rights in Egypt delivered by the US Secretary of State.   Veterans for Peace.

April 24, 2011. Sixteen protestors against nuclear weapons at the Nevada National Security Site were arrested after a sixty mile sacred walk from Las Vegas.  Nevada Desert Experience.  Pace e Bene.

July 6, 2010.  Seventy eight people protesting against police brutality in Oakland California and the trial involving a shooting by a BART police office.

March 4, 2009, nine people seeking to present a letter to CEO of Alliant Technologies outlining how weapons manufacturers were prosecuted as war criminals at the end of WWII were arrested in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.  Alliant Action.

Patriot Act poster

Another article in a Veterans Today article, posted by Susan Lindauer, who describes herself as;

the second non-Arab American ever indicted on the Patriot Act

is a comprehensive insight into the workings of the US secret state, and how it will persecute even its own, without any semblance of the ‘natural justice’ trumpeted as a democratic human right for everyone else by the US Government.

She goes on to describe the work that she had carried out for the US Government over the years ;

I had worked in anti-terrorism for almost a decade, covering Iraq and Libya, Yemen, Egypt and Malaysia at the United Nations. At the instruction of my CIA handler, I had delivered advance warnings about the 9/11 attack to the private staff of Attorney General John Ashcroft and the Office of Counter-Terrorism in August, 2001. FBI wire taps prove that I carried details of a comprehensive peace framework with Iraq up and down the hallowed corridors of Capitol Hill for months before the invasion, arguing that War was totally unnecessary.

She continues;

I delivered those papers to Democrats and Republicans alike; to my own second cousin, White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card; and to Secretary of State Colin Powell, who lived next door to my CIA handler. Gratis of the Patriot Act, we had the manila envelope and my hand written notes to Secretary Powell, dated a week before his infamous speech at the United Nations. My papers argued that no WMDs would be found inside Iraq, and that the peace framework could achieve all U.S. objectives without firing a shot.

She then  describes how she did what she describes as ‘the unthinkable’ . . .

I phoned the offices of Senator Trent Lott and Senator John McCain, requesting to testify before a brand new, blue ribbon Commission investigating Pre-War Intelligence. Proud and confident of my efforts, I had no idea Congress was planning to blame “bad intelligence” for the unpopular War.  Over night I became Public Enemy Number One on Capitol Hill . . . . Thirty days later I awoke to hear FBI agents pounding on my door. My nightmare on the Patriot Act lasted 5 years . . .

She describes how the Patriot Act grants prosecutors and police extraordinary powers of the sort that Kafka predicted in The Trial – ‘warrantless searches and FBI tracking surveillance’. She describes her time as a ‘suspect’ ;

Throughout five years of indictment, my attorneys and I never got to read a single FBI interview or grand jury statement. Under the Patriot Act, the whistleblower/defendant has no right to know who has accused him or her of what criminal activities, or the dates of the alleged offenses, or what laws got broken.

The interest in her was no doubt because of her contacts, and the sinister truths which started to emerge in the post-9/11 USA;

I knew that “sometime in October, 2001″ an Iraqi diplomat gave me the English translation of a book on depleted uranium, which showed how cancer rates and birth defects had spiked in Iraqi children. And I was quite certain that on October 14, 1999, an Iraqi diplomat asked me how to channel major financial contributions to the Presidential Campaign of George Bush and Dick Cheney.

Her reward for being an honest agent, and one obviously with some sort of ethical sensibility was being ;

. . . thrown in prison on a Texas military base without so much as a hearing—and threatened with indefinite detention and forcible drugging, to boot.

So next time you see someone standing at a podium with the Great Seal of the USA on the front, you can be assured that what they are saying will probably have no resemblance to the political reality of the lives of their own citizens . . .

Helicopter mystery in death of Dr David Kelly

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Steve Bell's take on the Death of Dr David Kelly

A report in The Morning Star on Sunday 15 May 2011
has raised new questions about the death of Dr David Kelly;

Police refused to be drawn on reports today that a helicopter mysteriously landed at the scene of weapons expert Dr David Kelly’s death shortly after his body was discovered. Details released under the Freedom of Information Act reportedly disclose that the aircraft stayed on the ground for five minutes before leaving.

According to its flight log, the helicopter, said to have been hired by Thames Valley Police, landed at Harrowdown Hill in Oxfordshire at 10.55am on July 18 2003 – 90 minutes after Dr Kelly’s body was found by search teams.

The purpose of the flight and who was on board have not been established because details of the flight log have been heavily redacted, according to the Daily Mail newspaper.

This is a story that will be continued . . .

Postscript from Wikipedia; Although he was never a member of the intelligence services, the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) regularly sought out his opinion on Iraq and other issues. David Kelly became a member of the Bahá’í Faith around 1999. He was introduced to this faith by Mai Pederson, a US military linguist and intelligence operative.

Here’s the David Kelly blogsite . . .

OBL, Gaddafi, Wikileaks and targeted assassinations.

Sunday, May 15th, 2011

An interesting analysis of the half-lies and deceptions surrounding the death of Osama Bin Laden can be found in an article in Counterpunch by the famed journalist Alexander Cockburn. After deconstructing the contradictory streams of misinformation that flowed from the US Government in the days after the assassination, Cockburn analyses the sequence of events that led to the operation being scheduled at that time.

His conclusions are that ;

  • the USA and Pakistan had been aware of the compound for years

In fact, specific knowledge by US intelligence of the compound and its likely possible prime denizen goes back to 2005.

He writes;

The three-storey house has been a well-known feature of Abbottabad. Shaukat Qadir, a well-connected Pakistan Army officer, reported to CounterPunch from Pakistan: “For the record, this house has been under ISI surveillance while it was under construction. It was first raided in 2003, and the ISI just missed capturing al-Libi (he was later captured by the ISI close to Mardan in K-P Province). It has been raided on numerous occasions since.”

  • OBL was killed as a result of ‘entrapment’

Cockburn quotes Shaukut Qadir;

“The house where Osama had sought refuge belonged to two brothers from Mardan (a Pashtun dominated region of K-P) . . .  neither one has been identified among the dead. If Osama was followed to this house by constant tracking of his courier who, according to CIA reports, shouldn’t one, if not both brothers . . . have been present . . .? But they weren’t. Of the seven bodies left behind (a female, a child and five men of ages ranging from mid-twenties to mid-thirties), none have been identified as being either brother…. “ Inference: “Osama was sold out. The operation was the result of entrapment. An entrapment organized through one or more of his most trusted aides…”

  • The operation was carried out to pre-empt a Wikileaks release of unredacted intelligence that had been gained through torture at Guantánamo Bay Concentration Camp.

The raid was organised because information about the capture and torture of the aide who revealed the whereabouts of the compound was about to be revealed through the parallel releases of Wikileaks information. One version of the files were being put out in the Guardian and New York Times; they had received / bought them from an ex-Wikileaks employee and in this narrative, allowed the security services to redact any names or information deemed ‘unacceptable’ to be in the public domain. A comparison to the Wikileaks’ unredacted release of the same files immediately reveals the names that they had been most anxious to hide.

As Cockburn continues;

We can conclude, from this narrative, that when the unredacted WikiLeaks files surfaced, US intelligence concluded that Osama’s associates would soon figure out that the Americans had made the appropriate connections and conjectures and there the associates urged him to move on with all due haste. So Obama decided to send in the Seals.

Cockburn then suggests that targeted assassination has become both an accepted military aim and a political tool.

He points to the attack in Libya on April 30th;

Saturday, April 30 was reserved for the attempted assassination of Colonel Gaddafi, with the dropping of precision-guided bombs on the house of his son Saif, who died along with three grandchildren. Saif, then four, was in the Gaddafi family compound on April 15, 1986 when bombs ordered up by Ronald Reagan were dropped from F-111s, killing his 15-month old sister, adopted by Gaddafi 11 months earlier.  Thus have Reagan and Obama shared a target. ‘Decapitation’ – going for the enemy’s top guy – is now standard Nato strategy.

Would Obama have been briefed on the plan, or have signed off on a program of targeted assassination of Gaddafi? It seems a sure thing.

And as Cockburn concludes;

But Gaddafi survived. So Obama only had one bloodied feather in his cap when he gave one of the most morally repellent speeches I have ever heard delivered from the White House. Bush at least had the crude brio of a semi-literate jock when he vaunted America’s prowess. Obama’s “we nailed him” paragraphs of mendacity concluded with Dickensian Heepishness: “Tonight we are once again reminded that America can do whatever we set our mind to. That is the story of our history.”

To which we can add – yup! and the end of just about everyone else’s . . .

Operation Southern Mistral – the war on Libya

Saturday, May 14th, 2011

RAF banner for Operation Southern Mistral

The attack on Libya coincidentally took place at exactly the same time that a war game run by the French and British within NATO was about to take place.

An article by Prof. Michel Chossudovsky details the way that the humanitarian pretext for a war justified a well-planned attack on Libya.

On November 02 2010, more than four months prior to the onset of Operation Odyssey Dawn, France and the UK announced the conduct of war games under Operation “SOUTHERN MISTRAL 2011” against “AN IMAGINARY COUNTRY’ called “SOUTHLAND”, living under a “DICTATORSHIP”  which allegedly “was responsible for an attack against France’s national interests”.

The Franco-British (humanitarian) air operation against “SOUTHLAND” was to be carried out pursuant to an IMAGINARY “UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO: 3003”.

The war games were scheduled to start on March 21, 2011. THESE FRANCO-BRITISH WAR GAMES  NEVER TOOK PLACE. OPERATION “SOUTHERN MISTRAL” WENT LIVE ON MARCH 19, 2011 (two days prior to the scheduled date).

Below is the exact quote and colors from the Franco-British war games website which is hosted by France’s Air Force:
