Three Key Sound Love Subversion
The third release from the Three Key Posse was this single, Love Subversion which was written by Heathcote, Baines, Mac Mathúna and Burke at Punishment Farm Studios.
Both sides are crossover techno veering between old style house and ambient;
Side A features a haunting Arabian vocal, sirens and the sounds of warfare, within a stomping tune. The B-side is altogether different; atmospheric but (subtly!) bangin techno. Submariner sounds taking you underwater in a slightly less damaging way than a dose of pet anaesthetic. This was the first fairly straight techno we had done, although we did a couple more when we started working at Geezers, soon after this had been recorded. Punishment Farm Studios had already closed by the time we released this record; and we only did one more tune there after this one, another techno epic called Sublimator.
